Ahead of the 2024 European elections, the event aims to show the work the European institutions are undertaking to make sure that their system is still fit for democracy and open towards its citizens. The discussion will bring together representatives from organised civil society, the EU institutions and CoFoE’s citizen with the ambition to reflect on how best to reform our democratic institutions.

Under the title "Europe in the Neighbourhood - Let's talk beyond borders! Perspectives, challenges, and opportunities of EU-Georgia integration" we will explore on Tuesday, 19 September 2023, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. (CEST), the prospects and challenges of closer cooperation between the EU and Georgia, discuss possibilities to support Georgian civil society in its pro-European aspirations and examine Georgia's role amidst the intensifying systemic competittion between the EU and Russia.
