Tear down these walls! Video Competition for #WallFall25 conference
Press Release
Berlin, 12 Sept 2014 – 25 years after the fall of the Berlin wall, young Europeans born in 1989 are called upon to share their views about Europe’s present walls in a short video. All videos uploaded in our vimeo group before 21 September will enter the competition for our international Berlin Weekend including the #WallFall25 Conference.
It will take place in Berlin at the first weekend in November (Nov 1-3). Among the competitors one young European per member state is chosen to attend the international meeting with representatives of the EU-institutions to put down their visions for the future of Europe and discuss about walls and frontiers. All travel and accomodation costs will be covered. The debate is initiated by the German Representation of the European Commission and the Information Office of the European Parliament in Berlin. The conference („My Europe 1989, today and tomorrow: That’s how I want Europe“) will be held in English.
The deadline for applications is approaching quickly: All Europeans born in 1989 can apply until Sept 21, midnight, by uploading a video to Vimeo and email a short CV to wallfall25@netzwerk-ebd.de
