European Public Diplomacy: European Movement Germany welcomes Lithuanian representatives
The European Movement Germany was honored to welcome representatives from the Lithuanian department of foreign affaires to exchange ideas about the coordination and communication of European topics in general and in terms of education, particularly.
Manuel Knapp deputy secretary general and Janin Hartmann executive director european competition, welcomed communication experts from Lithuania in Berlin on December 14th. Aistė Bertulytė-Žikevičien who is head of the General Affairs and Institutional Issues Division in European Union Department of MFA of the Republic of Lithuania, and Martynas Kleinauskas, a chief specialist in project within Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, were very interested in how EU communication is managed in Germany.
Therefore the exchange between the European Movement Germany and the Lithuanian guests was mainly about projects focused on improving better awareness of citizens to act in EU context.
Bertulytė-Žikevičien is currently working on a project about the “Enlargement of Lithuania‘s EU policy efficiency“ and enriched the discussion with the Lithuanian view on educational subjects in the European context. Janin Hartmann introduced the pupils‘ project „Europäischer Wettbewerb“ and Manuel Knapp gave an overview on EM Germany’s dialog formats as well as strategies and communicational tools.
