EBD international briefing with Michael Roth | 04.12.2020
On November 18, Germany took over the rotating presidency in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the continent’s leading human rights organisation.
What are the key priorities of the German presidency? How can the Council of Europe and the EU institutions support each other, especially when fostering the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights across Europe? And what is the role of civil society organisations in all that?
Together with Michael Roth MP, Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office we will explore and discuss topics and strategies of the German presidency in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe – thanks to videoconferencing in an international format involving interest group representatives across Europe.
The videoconference will take place via GoToMeeting. Questions and comments can be submitted via the chat function.
